A PROVEN FIGHTER
Service has always been a part of my life. My grandfather served in WWII and became 100% disabled. I did my best to follow in his footsteps. In service to the great state of Texas, and to our nation, in December 2012 I took the oath of office and joined the Army National Guard. I served as an infantryman, and in 2017 was activated to help in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. It was there I saw first hand what service truly means. My siblings are still serving to this day along the border. I know what challenges they face, and I know what we need to do to support them. We must give our aide to all service members - both past and present - because it is their sacrifice that allows us the freedoms we enjoy.
A SAN ANTONIO NATIVE
I was born and raised right here in San Antonio. I graduated from Tom C. Clark High. I've seen the highs and lows this city has to offer. My mother separated from my abusive father when I was a child and took me and my six siblings with her. For a time we lived in a bettered women's shelter. As the oldest I had to work through school to help provide for the family. It was a struggle, but we made it through. Now I have an amazing wife and two beautiful children. We are blessed to call San Antonio home. I can't imagine raising a family anywhere else, and it's for them that I'm running for state senate. Together we can make this a great place for future generations and keep Texas as the greatest state in the union.
